Overview
Our site is lovely and peaceful – we are tucked away at the far end of Montrose Playing Fields, and we share a border with the Northern line and some newly built blocks of flats. We are a group of about 50 plot holders cultivating plots of different sizes. There are two entrances; a double gate facing the playing fields and a small side gate at the end of a footpath which runs from Booth Road. The playing fields have recently been redeveloped. We encourage members to participate in communal activities to clear communal pathways, maintain the wildlife areas etc. There is no direct road to the site; access is via a footpath through the Playing Fields. But we have sometimes negotiated with Barnet Council to open the gates to the playing fields to allow big deliveries in. There are parking restrictions in some roads near the allotment site.
At present we do not have any allotment plots available and there is also a long waiting list of applicants.
