Complaints and disputes involving allotment societies

Complaints and disputes involving allotment societies should be taken up directly with the society/site concerned and not with Barnet Allotment Federation. The Federation’s primary role is to provide advice, support and services to its members, namely the allotment societies in Barnet who self manage their allotment sites which were formerly managed by the council. The societies themselves have the primary obligation to deal with issues involving their own plotholders, neighbours or other third parties.

The Federation has no authority to become involved in a society’s internal business unless the society’s committee acting collectively specifically asks it to do so.
